The OHN Global Map charts the worldwide distribution of academic researchers working in business history, management history, and organisational history. It is maintained by the Organizational History Network (OHN) and currently covers more than 1,300 scholars across 57 countries.
The map draws on self-submitted data from researchers, conference participant lists, and publicly available institutional information. It is updated regularly as new data is collected.
Click any marker on the map to see the number of researchers at that location. Markers are colour-coded by volume: blue (small), orange (medium), red (large).
Purple markers indicate individual researchers who have opted in to appear by name. Clicking a purple marker shows their name, university affiliation, and research interests.
Researchers in business history, management history, and related fields are welcome to add their details to the map. The opt-in form linked on the map offers two options: anonymous inclusion (your location contributes to aggregate counts only) or named inclusion (your name, affiliation and research interests appear on a purple marker). You can also withdraw your information at any time via the same form.
The OHN connects scholars working across business history, management history, accounting history, and the history of organisations. It supports interdisciplinary exchange and makes the global research community more visible. Visit the OHN website.
By default, the map displays only aggregate counts — no individual names or contact details. Individual researcher information is displayed only with explicit consent. Email addresses are never shown publicly. The underlying dataset is maintained in a secure spreadsheet held by the map's curator.
